Redirect asp pages from asp.net page

Dear Friends,

I dont have enough knowledge in .Net but I am working in asp to asp.net migration work in that i need to redirect on asp page from asp.net. i use some general techniques like Server.Transfer and Response.Redirect and Navigateurl in hyperlink also,but i got error like

".asp extension is incorrect"

Please reply me to resolve my problem

Oky....try to create the virtual directory for this. images are taken from windows server 2008 OS, i have given a url below for xp too.

the way i'm suggesting here is not soo good but you can start with this.

open the VS and create new website and choose the location as IIS, look in images:

try giving full application path url in redirection. eg: Response.Redirect("http://1.1.1.1/website/1.asp");

I done so many things in normal file system,How can i change it to IIS?

In my ASP.NET Development server display Port No after localhost like http://localhost/1065/tm.... so that i could not open asp page... please tell me how to resolve this

This is working good for me here, what I did is

added a button on page and used the code as

protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Response.Redirect("Page.asp?category=Sports and Recreation");
}

And this is running good here (even with .asp exetension), i have not configured any IIS too.

Yes it is possible.
Deploy your application in IIS and in IIS enable ASP support.
Now browse the asp.net application and click the link button to go asp page.

yes, i have to open a classic asp page in VS 2008. Is it possible?

My OS is Microsoft Windows Xp Service Pack 2 and My IIS version is IIS V5.1

Are you running the project from visual studio ? VS development web sevrer does not support ASP Classic pages, only ASP.NET.
If you host your application in IIS this may work. For this you need to enable ASP support on your server -- this can be done through the IIS Manager, and Web Site Extensions node.

Please let us know, OS name & IIS version as well.

Can you post the code that you have written and i think the page extension should be .aspx try by that extension
