regular expresion

hi my firends
i know alittle about regular expression.i saw a reglur expression[   @"(?<First>\d{1,3})\-(?<Other>.*)"   ] but i can't understand what will place in that varibles(such as Other and First).this regular work on statements such as 1-4-41 or 1-4  . can any one help me and explain it for me .
