Schedule Task
Dear All, I am Developing a web application in which I need to run a page each days once , I have received many inputs from the developers some says to use the global.asax file and some says to use timers , but no one can solve the problem because the global.asax execuates every time and if i place my code there then my code runs more than once a day, So now i am using the hosting solution provider scheduler jobs option using plesk panel , can anybody tell me that the plesk scheduler can run the code of aspx.page on schedule or not or it can just run javescript.

Dear Danish Habib, there may me one solution create windows service in your machine and in connection string give the path of the server and run that service for this scenario your machine should be start to run that service.

1-I have different user in my web application and i have given ten days each user to submit his data if he did not send the data within ten days then an email remainder would be send to
him that he did not submitted his data,For that purpose i wrote a method which checks column (Issubmitted) if it is not true within the ten days then i send an email to that person ,on starting the question i get many replies that i put my method into global.asax file but the problem is that if the user did not submitted his data and now the days is 11th mean beyond the days limit then each time when the user hits the application the global.asax would be called and if the person hits 100 times 100 times global.asax would be run and 100 emails would be send to that person I just want that this page execautes once a days and if he did not submitted his data then one email would be send to him/her.I am hosting my application on shared hosting so they do not allow me to make a window service on their machine ,they give me the solution see the attach file in the column Path to an executable file can i give my vb.net page path where my method resides??

Dear Danish Habib actually windows task scheduler will not accept file path it will take *.exe only and in your case you can't use *.exe so create new windows services and schedule your task.

I think you should create windows services for that of by using windows task Seducer you should schedule your job by creating *.exe file.
