Secure SQL Server

Hi all,

I made some desktop applications using SQL Server as its backend.

The thing is, client also uses SQL Server Management Studio and I don't want to share/view the data and its structure with the client.

Is it possible to secure the database that can only be used by me with a id and password ( if possible).

Is there any solution to acheive this solution.

It would really be appreciated, if any one could help me on this.

Is your database on the same sql server as other customer databases? If yes, then it is complicated, because your customer will have sa (system administrator) password and will by default have access to all databases on the server.

You can install your own instance of sql server with strong sa password, as an installation process. This way, only you (or your application) can talk to it.

If your database requirement is nothing complicated and is limited to storing data only, you may also please look into LocalDB edition of SQL Server.
