sending mail message

what should be the host and port values if i want to send a mail message from my designed application?

i want to send a mail msg using my application to my hotmail account.

my application has four textboxes for(from,to,subject and body)

i have set every thing including mail settings and smtp settings but still mail is not sent can anyone help regarding this.

hi rajesh,
friend this article is not helpful for me because you are using gmail
but i want to send mail message by my own designed application
my host should be localhost not the smtp.gmail.com
I AM UNABLE TO SEND MAIL MESSAGE.
