Sending money to India via Demand Draft

Does anyone have experience sending money from the USA to India using a Demand Draft? I found the following sites. The "Send Money to India" seems the most trustworthy but I am interested in comments. Not many people in America are familiar with Demand Drafts.

Yes. They say it must be either a Demand Draft or a check; nothing else will work. See the Aakash Tablet Official Website. I do not know what a direct bank account transfer is but the web site does not mention it as a possibility.

I assume that the device is useful for me and that the offer is available to me. If not then the web site is not clear enough. The web site does make it clear that pre-payment is better. I have a booking ID for April so I assume I will be hearing from them but they do say they prefer pre-payment. If you know that the device is not useful for people in the USA or that the offer is not available to me then it will sure help me to know that.
