Showing Current HTML

Question

Hello,
I'm currently working on a project which involves the use of the webBrowser function.
I am having problems finding the coding to show the current URL address of the webpage (www.google.co.uk)
Does anybody know how to solve this?

Thank you Sam, thats why I had mention in the previous post to handle the Navigated event. Can you add a link to your article? I guess I had never encountered that issue because I always waited for the document to load since I use it for grabbing the images and downloading them.

If you need the actual HTML from the current page you can use the WebBrowser control Document property. The document property is of type HTMLDocument which you can parse for specific elements you can do something like foreach (HtmlElement elm in WebBrowser1.Document.ActiveElement().All()) { switch (elm.TagName.ToUpper()) { case "A": // anchor; break; } }

Look for relevant articles in this web site; I know there is at least one because I wrote it. Note that the DocumentComplete event is what is usually used for that. I think that if you simply double-click on a WebBrowser control, the event that is generated is the DocumentComplete event.

When you set the Url it doesn't take effect until the control actually navigates to the page. webBrowser1.Url = new Uri("http://www.google.co.uk"); Handle the Navigated event of the browser control and retrieve the value there. Below is the lambda form, but you can create a handler if you want. webBrowser1.Navigated += (s,ev) => { textBox1.Text = webBrowser1.Url.ToString(); };
