Just contacted my host and it seems that they do not support wcf.
Is there any other way to communicate with a database than through wcf?

Mahesh probably is more knowledgeable in this area than I, but it seems to me that if the host supports .Net then it must support WCF, except WCF might be restrictred for security purposes. If the host does not support .Net then it can't support LINQ.
