Sorting by Ascending and Descending Order

Hello,

My program uses a list view to keep track of some information. There are multiple columns and I would like to be able to click the column header and have it sort in ascending order. If I click again, it changes to descending order.

I have used the following resource, but when I click on the column header, nothing changes.

Where is my issue?

I created a demo using the resource you have given in your question and its working for me. I think you have missed the column click event

private void listView1_ColumnClick(object sender, ColumnClickEventArgs e)
{
// Determine if clicked column is already the column that is being sorted.
if (e.Column == lvwColumnSorter.SortColumn)
{
// Reverse the current sort direction for this column.
if (lvwColumnSorter.Order == SortOrder.Ascending)
{
lvwColumnSorter.Order = SortOrder.Descending;
}
else
{
lvwColumnSorter.Order = SortOrder.Ascending;
}
}
else
{
// Set the column number that is to be sorted; default to ascending.
lvwColumnSorter.SortColumn = e.Column;
lvwColumnSorter.Order = SortOrder.Ascending;
}

// Perform the sort with these new sort options.
this.listView1.Sort();
}
