Hi,

Take a look at this,

CSharp string Split function returns an array of String containing the substrings delimited by the given System.Char array.

string[] string.split(string[] separator)

Parameters:
separator - the given delimiter

Returns:
An array of Strings delimited by one or more characters in separator

Example:

using System;
using System.Windows.Forms;

namespace WindowsApplication1
{
public partial class Form1 : Form
{
public Form1()
{
InitializeComponent();
}

private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string str = null;
string[] strArr = null;

If you have a piece of text which contains multiple spaces between words, then the Split() method using a space separator will normally produce an array which contains empty strings as well as the words themselves.

You can avoid this by using one of the overloads which takes a StringSplitOptions argument and specifying StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries. You will then just be left with the words themselves.
