stored procedure for all tables

hi everyone, please help me I want to update data field "Status" on All table in a database with stored procedure. so when I click button Lock. field "status" on a table change "Y" but before change data in all tables automatic was copy data. are you understand? sorry for my bad english.

I confused you want every time take backup table data before update table or special time like above you want.

if you want backup every updating time then should be used the trigger for more about the trigger hit this link ...

before going to second option i want ask you what is ways to backup like a copy all in a particular in table or make script???????

You need to write simple update statement to update "Status" column.

Where did you stuck?
