Hi,
Do anybody know what is a subsite and how to add a subsite in an application being made in Expression Web ?

Also, don't take me wrong. So in general I like Wikipedia but I was clearly related to "software development" :)
When I reply anything, I reply in context of today's developers and what they talk and terms use at real-work and in real-world. So when I have a meeting with a team of developers and they say, let's build a "subsite" or "microsite", I know what does that mean. But when same "subsite" is defined on Wikipedia but a non-technical editor, he/she meant different.
Cheers!

If, as the administrator of this site, you want to define Jakob Nielsen's as being authoritive, then I will accept that. How do we however determine what is authoritive for other things that is not covered in a Mindcracker web site nor in Jakob Nielsen's site?
If Manoj says that microsite is what is intended then that is what subsite means for this context. I think it is better for Manoj to answer if that is what is intended. As far as I understand, a microsite can easily be created in Expression Blend but a subdomain requires more to be done; right?. So if Manoj needs to create a subdomain yet Manoj is told it can be created using the technique used to create a microsite, then it will not work. I totally agree that we do not want to tell Manoj to create a subdomain if that is not what is needed. That is why I prefer to get clarification from Manoj.
I agree that if there is nothing useful in the results of a search then that search is not useful and should not be provided as if it is useful. I also think that there should be more emphasis on members doing more to research their questions before posting.

In my personal experience, I have noticed Wikipedia is useless for developers. Wiki authors/editors are non-experience non-real world authors.
Plus, I hate when a result page has link to other million related pages and do not answer my question. I would rather reference MSDN or other developer related website.
BTW: subsites are microsites.

We have Microsites on C# Corner. Here is an example:

Instead of saying not to use Wikipedia, do you have a suggestion for what should be used? I don't know what would be better, so if you can tell us, then that is what we need.
Note that the term "subdomain" is precise and authoritive. See RFC 1034 - Domain names - concepts and facilities; it is the official specification of what a domain name is. It uses the term subdomain. Is there any official definition of "microsites"?
The advantage of links is that it automatically gives credit to the source of the information, it provides a mechanism for automatic update of the information when relevant, and it reduces the size of threads. Note that it is often easier to just copy the text and paste in a thread; it takes more time to create a link that has meaningful text in it. It would help if we had an easier way to create a link that includes the page title.

@Sam - I think Wikipedia is useless for developers. It is good for people who wants to know basics on a topic but resources added by Wikipedia editors are not real-world experience. Also,I hate this put so many links on a single topic. It confuses me and I click here and there and never get the answer I am looking for.

A site can contain one or more subsites. A subsite is a site that is nested inside another site. A site that contains subsites is called a top-level site. If you think of a site as a directory containing a set of folders, a subsite is a subfolder containing a stand-alone site.
