ASP.NET MVC is the current and future trend. No one is going to check if you have worked on previous/older/legacy technologies.

It's good to know about them but not necessary to work on that.

Be the best in whatever you work with. Don't worry about the older technologies. If you have not mentioned in your resume then no one will care about them.

No, It's totally fine if you directly learned ASP.Net MVC.

I think most of new development is done in MVC, so if you are going to work on new projects then you will not need knowledge of Webforms.

But somewhere in your career if you are assigned to an upgradation project from Webforms to MVC then you may need some knowledge of webforms at that time.
