Hi check the code string val= "878.97,878.97" ; string[] splitval=val.Split(','); double total=0; foreach(string item in splitval) { string temp; if(item=="") { temp=0; } else { temp=item; } total=total+ Convert.ToDouble(temp); } you will get total value

You can do something as below. The code is using action as parameter to Foreach loop on the collection of string. So even if you run to empty string (considering last comma), it shouldn't err out. List string >lst= "878.97,878.97" .Split( ',' ).ToList(); double sum=0; lst.ForEach(e=>{ if (! string .IsNullOrEmpty(e))sum+= double .Parse(e);}); Console.WriteLine(sum); Please mark it as answer if it resolves the issue.
