Syncronise Access DB on Vista machine

Question

I developed an app using C# and an Access DB on an XP machine. The app works fine.
I recently moved over to Vista and it seems that the operating system has cloned the DB (I can't find where).
Changes I make to the records through the app are saved to the cloned DB but I cannot work out how to update the root DB. Likewise, changes I make to the root DB manually are not reflected in the cloned DB.
Any ideas, please?
