TextBox does not contain a definition for 'DataSource'

Please help me to fix this issue, Since i'm a new to coding

Error 1 'System.Windows.Forms.TextBox' does not contain a definition for 'Datasource' and no extension method 'Datasource' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Windows.Forms.TextBox' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Thanks for the reply Mangesh.

I changed it accordingly and pasted in my code.
textBox1.Text = dt.Rows[0]["Categorization"].ToString();

it got executed successfully with zero error but failed to pull data from column.

I replaced textBox1 with new comboBox4 for cross verifiying it just worked fine with ComboBox4 with below code.

-comboBox4.DataSource = dt;
-comboBox4.DisplayMember = "Categorization";
-comboBox4.ValueMember = "Categorization";

Is there anything i need to take care with textBox1.

Just assign the value of the column like this to the textbook Yourtextbox.text=Datattable.Rows[0]["your column name"].Tostring (); This will bind the things for you to the textboc

I just want to pull data from table [Resolution]. where my selected combobox3 value is ProblemID and i want my textBox1 to fetch data accordingly from Categorization from same table.

comboBox3 is my ProblemID
TextBox1 is my Categorization
TextBox2 is RResolution
TextBox3 is Additionalinfo

for example : select Categorization,RResolution,Additionalinfo from Resolution where ProblemID = '"+comboBox1.text+"'

resolution table structure..
ID | ProblemID | Categorization | Additionalinfo | RResolution

i hope its quite clear..

TextBox control doesn't support DataSource property. But in code, it is like:

textBox1.Datasource = dt1;

textBox1.DataSource = dt;
textBox1.DisplayMember = "ProblemID";
textBox1.ValueMember = "ProblemID";

In above code, you are using DataSource property so you are getting compilation error. DataSource property you can assign in dropdownlist control. I am not sure about your requirement why are you assigning DataSource to TextBox.

If you want to display data in TextBox then use Text property:

textBox1.Text = "your data";

Hi Mohmmad,if you are trying to acheive this then it is not possible as textbox doesnt have the datasource property thats beacuse the textbox can only hold only one property at a time
you can assign the datasource to the DropDown as it will contain the multiple rows in it

textBox1.DataSource = new DataTable(); //Your datatable name

if you want to use the multiple values in the textbox then u probably need to
append the each value of that datarow an assign that string to the textbox...

Share your code first. C# is a case sensitive language and you should check the following content you written in your code Textbox , DataSource.
