i have creted the one application in that one home controller n two view pages in home folder which name is index.cshtml and Profiling.cshtml

n have have not using _layout page ,

!)i have put one button in index page that one clik which going other page profiling page .but its is not working. display the code:

Hi Vidhi,

Yes, in MVC, you can use html.actionlink Html helper to create an anchor tag. This helper will take parameters of name,controller and action and other html attributes which you wanted to be rendered.

In mvc we can thing we can don in a tag for this not needed to do routing

Hi Vidhi,

This is because, you are trying to access your MVC application using file extensions like web forms.

MVC application works on route which is different than the physical filename.

For example, http://localhost:2303/Home/Index

in this default route Home -> your MVC controller which is HomeController.cs and Index map to the action method.

I suggest you go through the routing concept and see the route.config file for better understanding
