To Keep Page Alive and Getting The Client Machine Details.

Question

Hello,

Iam developing web application ,I want run the code for long period for certain condition.

The issue is when i click on button ,the webpage is showing after a certain period of time the page is inactive i.e in IE it showing Diagnose connection problem 

but the code is running background for that particular page.

so what should do to keep page alive till code is completely execute.

And how to get the client machine's username.
