I am sorry but I either did not keep notes or I cannot find my notes. As I recall, I found some relevant messages in the MSDN forums but I don't remember details. I think however that you should try searching for auto-hide.

A few months ago when I tried to find something like that that works as well as VS does I could not find anything that Microsoft provides and I could not find sample code of doing it, at least not using C#. I did find software that could do it but it is not free.
