tracing page control changes

I have a page with all type of controls mainly text boxes on submit I need to find out which values have been added which have changed. What is most elegant way to do this . Currently I am storing the values in hiddentext and doing it very inefficiant. Does any one have better suggestions. Thanks Ajit
