I am stuck in type script how to debug.There is no error when we build the application after compile it will work fine i am not able to debug to add some new feature

I work with typescript for a year and i do not debug anything. Maybe just an console.log will resolve the problem. I have read to debug typescript will need the map files and type definition files.
