Unable to find the Difference of Date with C# function

Hello Team,

I am unable to find the Date difference by using the following method with input and output paremeters:-

I would like to give string as my input and output paremeters. Can someone please advise on it.

DateTime compareTo = DateTime.Parse("01/01/2019");
DateTime now = DateTime.Parse("02/03/2019");
var dateSpan = DateTimeSpan.CompareDates(compareTo, now);
Console.WriteLine("Date diffrence between dt:" + compareTo.ToString("dd-MMM-yyyy") + " and dt:" + now.ToString("dd-MMM-yyyy"));
Console.WriteLine("Years: " + dateSpan.Years);
Console.WriteLine("Months: " + dateSpan.Months);
Console.WriteLine("Days: " + dateSpan.Days);

Try below code,

(Convert.ToDateTime(y) - Convert.ToDateTime(x)).TotalDays

so it will look like below,

class Program
{
static void Main(string[] args)
{
Calculate("2019, 11. 08", "2018, 11, 09");
}
static string Calculate(string x, string y)
{
return (Convert.ToDateTime(y) - Convert.ToDateTime(x)).TotalDays.ToString();
}
}
