in your code, you can do the following while getting value from DateTimePicker control:
```
string theDate = dateTimePicker1.Value.ToShortDateString();
```
or, if you'd like to specify the format of the date:
```
string theDate = dateTimePicker1.Value.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd");
```

Hi Praveen,

It looks like there is wrong format with datetime. Means the string value you are converting is valid to covert it to DateTime object. Go through below link:

Secondly if you are not able to resolve the problem then provide the value string value which you are try to convert.

Please share code so that we will answer this. Normally this kind of error thrown when you are getting wrong string format while converting to date time.
