Unidentified Character Problem in Articles

There is a â€" Character problem in articles.It displays after you published your article.You cant see it in HTMLEditor

Is there any way we can fix this issue?

This is usually a "-" came from MS word. If you edit that in HTML editor, it will fix it. Remove it and type it again.

We will probably fix this in our article publishing process. Check for all word's "-" characters and replace with HTML "-".

I have seen many occurances of strange characters and it is not just one character. They look valid when seen in the editor for the document but then when the article is saved the strange characters exist again. I know of no way that authors can fix the problem. It appears to be a problem in the software that copies the document to the web site. I am only guessing but there appears to be someplace else that articles are put after editing and then they are copied to the web site. There appears to be a problem there but I don't have access to that or any of the code. I assume that the fix is very likely very easy but it might require a few hours to diagnose.
