Actually i would like create one calendar table on sql where clumn will be shown as date of selected month or range of selected date . like as a planning dashboard. I shall bind it to gridview . Please help .

Please give more details about your planning dashboard.
To store range of dates, create start date and end date as column and store the range in table.
to store planning details in general, the table should have task names, effective date, start date, end date, key columns, audit trail columns. Add further details based on your requirements.
