| 2  | 2013-10-28  | 2013-10-31 |       F       |

hello everbody

i want to ask how can i to do match to column date_start and date_end if now < date_start or date_end < now displaystatus updated F also

now is >= date_start and date_end > now displayStatus also updated E

how can i write sql query ?

Hi Ekrem ,

You may try out this query . I hope this would solve the problem .
CREATE TABLE dbo.TestTable
(
date_start date ,
date_end date,
DisplayStatus AS CASE WHEN GetDate() > date_start And GetDate() < date_end then 'E' WHEN GetDate() < date_start Or GetDate() > date_end then 'F' END
)
INSERT INTO dbo.TestTable (date_start,date_end) VALUES ('2015-10-01','2015-10-18')
INSERT INTO dbo.TestTable (date_start,date_end) VALUES ('2013-10-28','2013-10-31')
SELECT *
FROM TestTable
Above query would populate the Display Status as per your requirement.
