Update sql column when user closes browser??

Unfortunately, due to the nature the way the http works, you won't really know when user closes the browser.

However, the work around is to code in event session_OnEnd.

Asp.net implicitly creates a session for a new user. When browser is closed, AFTER the session timeout is expired, session_OnEnd is called. You can write the code there.

I am using framework 4.0 of dot net with asp and c#,i know that session started but i want to update column when user forcefully closes browser due to system failure my browser is closed automatically using c# based code.I dont want to use session for this..

Sorry for that,I am using ASP.net with C#.I want to update cloumns of sql table without using session on browser close.

You didn't mention, which framework you are using. ASP.NET, MVC? And what exactly do you mean without session?

In ASP.NET session is started whether or not you use it.
