Updating table based on checkbox

Can anyone tell whats wrong that is not updating the records. right now when a checkbox is selected and the submit button is clicked, no changes are made to the database table.

mycmd.commandType = CommandType.storedProcedure 

should be:

mycmd.commandType = CommandType.Text
