Upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Failed

Anybody tried upgrading Windows Vista to Windows 7 on a 64-bit machine?

I have Vista Home edition on a HP Pavilion 64-bit machine. When I tried upgrading to Windows 7, installations stays at 94-95% for hours. I end up stopping it.

Wonder anybody had same problem? Or what other problems you faced?

If you have anti virus software / Firewall then disable it it may cause problem while upgrading ..

one more issue you might face is ..hang at 62% ...

that can be solved by following
