I was trying to upload a video article on CreateArticle.aspx to suppliment a current article and am guessing the place to do it is in the "Upload Contents" section. Problem is that when the file completes uploading it seems like the page crashes. I get the dreaded "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
Also, it would help to have more information about video articles (file formats, max size, etc.). And maybe some suggestions on how to record them. Personally, I'm using Windows Media Encoder to record and am uploading a *.wmv.
It seems like this could be a pretty cool feature of the site.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,
When you upload a video article, on first page of CreateAricle.aspx, you MUST select Article Type as "Video". By default it is Article. After that it should let you upload all types of videos.
I am in process of cleaning up the video upload process and trying to make it simpler. Please try to post couple of videos and let me know what do you not like or should be chanaged.
Best,
Mahesh

Thanks Mahesh,
The first time through I was a bit confused. Second time should be easier though because I now understand how it works.
Here are my notes/suggestions:
Content publisher: Don't need html content when the content is video. Maybe choose article type when uploading content instead of at the first page? We might not need html contents or image upload screen for video articles.
Got confused by contents page. Tried uploading *.wmv on this page. Only realized that the file should have been uploaded on the meadia content page once I got there. I uploaded a *.wmv file and it was rejected on the contents page, then I zipped it and uploaded again. After that was done and I got to the next screen I realized it was time to upload the media.
Next time will be easier because I now understand there is a seperate screen for uploading media.
Uploading stopped at 65%. Here is what appeared on the screen:
Starting Upload:
Attempting to upload OutsideIn_I.wmv
Uploading OutsideIn_I.wmv
please wait...
There was an IO error uploading OutsideIn_I.wmv
Thanks,
Matt
