Use the serialport RS-232 in C#?

Magnus, This is a question that keeps coming up, mostly because it was a major oversight on Microsoft's part not to include it with the .Net Platform. Your easiest route will be to use the MSComm component. It can also be done through direct calls to the kernel using P/Invoke and there are a few examples of this out on the itnernet. There are also a couple wrapper classes that people have written for serial communication, but I haven't had much luck with them. -James
