User authentication on css menu

i find the solution. I just put there the log out control in the master page. now there is another problem. In my menu there are 2 department, dept1 & dept2. Now i registered 2 user. User1 for dept1 and user2 for dept2. User1 can not access the page under dep2. Now the problem is when I click dept2 as user1, it shows me http404 error that the contents can not found. Now what I want is if I click dept2 as user1 it will take me to the login page again. Again I made up that menu using css and html.
Any suggestion?

Im using form authentication. because of im not using sitemap, where should i use the response.redirect(""). My menu is built by css and html.

What type of login mechanism are you using? Typically it should have the following steps:

Session.Abandon(); // Abandon all the current user Session
//FormsAuthentication.SignOut(); // If you are using FormsAuthentication
Response.Redirect("yourdefault.aspx"); // redirect the user to the home page or default page of the site.

You can also delete any cookies or any temp storage you have.
