User defined type Collection need to add in ServiceKnownType

Though List is known type WCF you don't need to declare it as service known type.

So in that case [ServiceKnownType( typeOf ( someUserDefinedType))] is appropriate.

Suppose I used List

So what is appropriate to write in KnownType?

[ServiceKnownType( typeOf(List<someUserDefinedType>))]

Or

[ServiceKnownType( typeOf ( someUserDefinedType))]
