Using remote database in C#

Hi,

if you have installed sql managment studio ,after that you can connect any sql server,

no need to install sql server.

You need to come up with configuration plan if your app is to access data from outside the environment where you app is located/hosted.

If you have dedicated server, then I would suggest to install SQL server there and then have connection from your app using dynamic connection string (reading from config file if it is changing often) or else prompt user to connect to database (where you may need to build it on the fly).

Other option is to host your database on cloud/Online (Google, Microsoft or any other provider you feel okay with).
