Validation Control

Hi,

ASP.Net provides number of validation control to validate the input from the user in the web pages.
It will reduce and simplifies the work of developers.

As you know there are several types of validation control.

- RequiredFieldValidator

- CompareValidator

- RangeValidator

- RegularExpressionValidator

- CustomValidator

The above controls will have two common properties.

For example,

Here i want to make it as mandatory field in the web page. The validation controls come to the picture here.

Here i have to associate the control which needs to be validated and when the field value is not entered, the message has to be displayed. So ErrorMessage attribute is common.

The two properties are common:
ControlToValidate
ErrorMessage
