I'm working with asp.net mvc.Mostly I will be using html helper but how to display validation messages without using html helpers.

Fields

Name:

Description:
<%= Html.TextBox("Description") %>

Price:
<%= Html.TextBox("Price") %>
<%= Html.ValidationMessage("Price", "*") %>

UnitsInStock:
<%= Html.TextBox("UnitsInStock") %>
