Hello,

What would be the Migration Plan or Path to convert our Legacy VB.NET 2.0 Web Projects to Angular?

- Is it possible?

- In this case how many month or years it will take to achive it?

- How do i take my legacy projects to next level?

Hi, There is no tools to convert directly from VB.NET to Angular. I think manually you have to write code to convert it. You have to change your architecture first then have to develop each module from scratch. However, you can reference your old project for logic and other functionality for understanding and development. If your backend code is seperate in legacy system then, that you can use in new Angular project.

Regarding how long it can take, it depends upon your application: what type of application, features, process, skillset in Angular of your team member, team size etc. need to be consider.

To bring it to next level, I would suggest develop it from scratch using asp.net core with Angular front end.

You won't be able to convert into angular directly. Angular is front-end only.
In your situation, I would suggest to go scratch development with asp.net core web api for backend development and Angular for front-end.
However, you need to be ready for learning and doing extensive research, if you are planning for Angular with ASP.Net core.
Regarding timeline, it depends upon following things
- Knowledge in Angular and asp.net core
- number of resources
- project complexity and requirements.

You are encourage to turn your application into latest technologies, this is the right time otherwise it will be too late.
