Want to show recent searches in SP online

SharePoint OOB offers Popular Items webpart under "Search-Driven content"

This webpart will show items that have been recently viewed by many users. 

See if you can alter query for this webpart to get search terms by current user. 

Have a list created & store the recent search keywords based on current user. Whenever there is a search triggered store the keyword in the list against the current user & use this list to show search suggestions.
