Am a 2010 fresher, can u please explain about "why we need to make a communication between applications through web? " and please say some practical explanation about webservices and wcf applications.......

All the above three are provided as a webservice in the Internet.
Details should be unique all over the world.
There were number of websites displaying and processing the above information like Airline Reservation, Train Reservation & Weather report.
These websites will communicate with those web services to get and post the details.
Hence we need to communicate between application.
