accroding to me web developer having lot of job openings and future compare to software developer but software developer are less in nomber.

learn both that is good for career. so that you can handle both, so company will prefer may be they are looking for both, because if web app doesnt have any work then they can put you into software development so you can be in safe.

 

if you know c# .you can learn both. all are like some what similar.
