What are best practices should follow while creating ARM templates ?

Here are few of the bullet points:

- Template size should not exceed 4 MB with limitation of 256 variables and parameters along with 64 outputs

- Try to keep resource group and resources in same region

- Try the parameter list to be as short as possible. Make your param list based on your deployment parameters and handle rest all things using variables

- Camel casing is preferred for parameter names and variables

- Parameterize credentials

- It's recommended to use most recent API version

- Resource dependency should be in sync with deployment strategies
