In my point of view
If used incorrectly any software or tool can be a pain, slow, and even counter-productive to your project. However looking at things from the opposite end of the spectrum, when used correctly and assuming that the rest of your code is "Bug-free",(making sure that your code is written as efficient as possible). Same view gets applied to Teleriks controls tools too.
So if you have better control over it so go with it otherwise go with other alternatives.
