What is best way to count total pageviews in asp.net and asp.net mvc application ? And What is best way to store that count per page wise or Article wise like All C# corner article pageviews.

Plugin you can use. Plugin is nothing but the combination of java script and html code just adds those codes where you are creating your page dynamically. I think it will work.

How to count page view

There are certain instances where tracking a page view is valid. its simple:

mixpanel.track('page viewed', {
'page name' : document.title,
'url' : window.location.pathname
});

I don't have static page ,page is created dynamically like any post or page like stackoverflow which is created dynamically so I don't think so that static variable is useful or any pluglin will helpful for these particular type of requirement.If i am wrong correct me @manish and @francis.

you can use static variable for that and increase the count when page/master page loads. alternatively some plugin available just add that plugin to show the counter in ur page. you can find those plugin in google.

Every time page is requested I need to open connection and set page count and then need to close connection,right? I don't think this is a best way to store page view count. But thank you for your valuable answer @francis

It's best store the value in to the Database table and update them whenever the page requested. Say for example, for every page in the "Page_Load" event itself, update the Page_Count variable in the database.
