What is difference between fault and nofault contract

In short,

When we use try and catch, it gives the full stack trace error of the exception. In case of WCF, we don't show the stack trace error as it contains lot of information about our application (gives the file names, line no. of code where exception occured).

Instead, we use Fault Contract. In Fault Contract, we give our own message.

 

Example - If Divide by Zero exception has occured, than stack trace will give file names, method names where the exception has occured.

Using Fault Contract, we can simply return "Divide By Zero error"
