what is different between SqlConnection.Open() and SqlConnection.OpenAsync()? please explain with example

Open() is a synchronous process which freezes the UI whereas OpenAsync() is an asynchronous process which opens the connection without freezing the UI

Refer below example code for OpenAsync(), Using await keyword will give you async call without blocking the UI and deadlock.
public static async Task GetConnectionAsync()
{
      var con = new SqlConnection(ConnectionString);
      if (con.State != ConnectionState.Open)
          await con.OpenAsync();
      return con;
}

public async Task<int> ExecuteQueryAsync(SqlConnection con, string query)
{
      if (con == null) con = await GetConnectionAsync();
      var cmd = new SqlCommand(query, con);
      return await cmd.ExecuteNonQueryAsync();
