Hi all,
i have try to learn about share point but i didn't understand why use share point?
because in share point feature there is write that it's use for build a web application , now we can make application with asp.net mvc and web form too, then why we use share point?
can any one explain me difference in basic tern with example and please also suggest which type of web application or web site are need to build on share point?
please give link to understand share point .

SharePoint is enterprise collaboration tool and it has many features which are build on top on dot not .
Using SharePoint you can build intranet , extranet portals and public internet sites , that too very rapidly and many more features .. etc.
