What is main use of VaryByCustom Action Filter in mvc?

Caching can be done based on the browser type like for IE or Chrome or FireFox and their version level. Firs time you may open in IE and that data will be stored in cache. If you open again in Only IE the cached data wuld come else it will come again by processing. Hope you understood. I fnot come up with a query. Thank you.
