So this forum should be called "Resilient File System (ReFS)" and then it would be clear what it is about.
It is unfortunate that ReFS will not support Extended Attributes, which is something that OS/2 and I am nearly certain Unix/Linux also supports. Microsoft's best explanation for why EAs were not provided better support is that they were not used, but they could not be used because Microsoft did not provide useful support. I do not know if ReFS provides a useful alternative; hopefully it does.
In OS/2, the REXX language is interpreted. Typically an interpreted version of a REXX script is stored in the script file's EA. I hope that ReFS can do something equivalent.
Then it must be an old file system that has not gotten much attention. When I search Microsoft, the results are ambiguous about what ReFS is. So I looked at the threads in this forum; the oldest one is nearly six years old. The other two threads, besides this one and the first thread, are about keypress events.
Do you know what bizarre is? This forum is bizarre.
Well, at least now people have a definition of what the forum is supposed to be about. Lets see if the future threads are about file systems, keypress events or bizarre things such as Windows being offered for free as Open Source.
