Hi....... Ques: Hello all of you now i am work in delegate but i am not understand What are events and what is the difference between delegates and events? Please explain and give a example....

In C# events are just a special kind of delegate which only supports the operators += or -= when used outside the class in which it is declared. These operators add a method to or remove a method from the delegate's invocation list. They also ensure that a subscriber to the event cannot find out anything about or interfere with other subscribers to the event which is the main reason for having them in the first place. Events have a couple of hidden accessor methods 'add' and 'remove' which the C# compiler normally generates for you behind the scenes. However, you can declare them explicitly and provide a different implementation to what the compiler would provide, if you wish, though this is not often done in practice. These accessor methods are called in response to the use of the += or -= operators.

The object that raises the event is called event source and the object that responds to the event is called event receiver. Did you observe a hitch in the above explanation?
