Hello The one important difference that I know : ng build : Used to build project for development environment which minimizes development efforts in terms of performance. ng build --prod It is used to build an application for production environment deployment which may take more time to generate minified files and depends on the structure of a project. In the end, the gold is to generate production-ready project We can choose any of them as per requirement. I hope it helps you Thanks
